This is a thicker version of Lace - Mulberry Silk. And as the thiner version it is pure luxury 100% grade A mulberry silk. This yarn is perfect for when you want the shine and drape a pure silk yarn gives but with a little more substans than you get with a laceweight.
Mirkwood is an anglicised version of the norse word Myrkvidr first used by Sir Walter Scott and later made more well known by J.R.R. Tolkien.
The words meaning is black or dark forest and it is mentioned in several norse sources including multiple places in the Poetic Edda and several other sources
